Meet Wool & Wicket

Wool and Wicket are 2 huts situated at the end of the village of Thixendale, near Malton, on the Yorkshire Wolds offering luxury self-catering accommodation in North Yorkshire. Our solid shepherds huts are made out of reclaimed mill timbers - the exterior from a flour mill in Chester, the interior from a bonded warehouse in Newcastle and the floorboards from Goosehill School in Morpeth! They sit on hand-forged steel chassis and wheels providing a desirable setting for your rural stay. Insulated with sheep’s wool, double glazed and with the warmth of a 7kw wood burner and a radiator, the huts are very comfortable and warm inside.

Snuggle into feather pillows and duvets, while lying between crisp cotton sheets for the best night's sleep.

Have a lie in and open the shutters to stunning Yorkshire Wolds countryside - best viewed from the warmth of your Kingsize bed! Fluffy cotton towels are also provided.

With a rustic feel, the luxury huts have all the modern conveniences you could want for a comfortable stay.

The kitchens include a full size fridge with freezer compartment. Cook yourself a delicious breakfast or tasty evening meal using the two ring hob and Smeg oven.

A Belfast sink, typical of a rural farm kitchen makes the washing up a pleasure not a chore!

Tea, coffee, milk and sugar are provided for your arrival.

Embrace your inner caveman and cook up a feast on the Firepit bbq.

Modern comforts are included in the bathroom as each hut as their own power shower, flushing toilet,

hand basin and a heated towel rail.

Relax and take in the stunning sunset with a tipple of your choice as you watch day turn to night on the part-covered veranda, the perfect place for al fresco dining.
